The Bowl Telgar's bowl is situated in the top of a huge dormant volcano at the top of the Central Mountain range. The tall, craggy walls are peppered with weyrs and a ledge on the caldera's rim on the north face serves as a watch post. A large lake takes up most of the bowl's northwest corner; the weyrling barracks can be found there. The northeast bowl holds the stable and feeding pens as well as a modest herb garden. The Weyrleader's complex, the infirmary and the living caverns are found to the southwest, while at the southeast a tunnel leading to the road outside offers a way for tithe caravans and other land travelers to enter the bowl. |

Private Weyrs Telgar's weyrs come in varied shapes and sizes and span the full circumference of the bowl's walls from top to bottom. Each has a ledge suitable for at least one dragon to land and lounge. Those lower to the ground also tend to be larger and more opulent; they're usually inhabited by riders of bronzes and, sometimes, browns. Those higher up are usually smaller and more spartan; the majority of the Weyr's blues and greens live there. |

Living Cavern This broad cavern has a high ceiling and is filled with tables and benches. Against the eastern wall is the entrance out into the bowl and the large table that offers each meal's assortment of edibles. Near the western wall is a dais with a solitary table for Weyrleaders, high ranking riders and honored guests. To its left, a smaller platform serves as a place for harpers to play. In the south wall is the entrance that leads into the kitchen and the lower caverns. |

Hatching Grounds Telgar's sweltering sands house her queens' clutches when there are any to be housed. There's an entrance that leads out to the bowl, a second that leads into the weyrling barracks and a third that leads off to a quiet cavern where new riders feed their lifemates their first meal. Surrounding the sands are the rings of roughly-carved benches that serve to seat spectators. Up above, small ledges wait for the draconic contingent of hatching-goers. A final, large opening in the ceiling allows those dragons to wing into the cavern. |

Weyrling Barracks The cavern where candidates stay until the hatching and weyrlings stay until they're assigned their own weyrs. There's sixty cots and couches stretched across five rows and a generous amount of open space between the cots and the entrance for lectures, feedings and other activities. In the back, a doorway leads to the hatching sands. |

The Golden Egg One of several such establishments within Telgar’s coverage area the Golden Egg is the latest casino to open up. An easy ride from the Weyr proper even if one does not have a dragon it caters mostly to riders and residents although everyone is encouraged to come inside and spend their marks. Even the Caminar can safely toss their marks away within these walls. Cards, dice, and roulette are the order of the day and that order is maintained by large men who look to have seen their share of fights. The drinks are cheap, the women are attractive, and the games of chance continue all day long in the Golden Egg. |
