He swallowed at her touch and when she sought his, allowed his arms to loop around her. "What good parts?" he asked softly. "Besides what we had, you tell me one."
But sounds from the area outside of the stores had Th'ane releasing the sabedoria and taking a step back. "Tonight. I'll find you." And with that promise, the bronzerider turned to go.

"The music, the movement of the wagons on the road, seeing things from the ground. The taste of the food. The way everyone is at the Gather when it's late and the stories are flowing and no one is paying much attention to who is who." Aleda's stepped into the circle of his arms and threaded her fingers around the back of his neck, juggling the spools of gauze, reaching up and up to do it. She might have said more when those noises interrupted and a wry little grin snuck across her face.
For his last she only smiled. "I'll be waiting. Just outside the Weyr. The clearing a mile down down into the valley." She shifted the spools of gauze back into her palms and watched him turn. "Don't make me wait all night," she added for his departure, waited a minute for him to clear the area, then left to haggle with the worker about taking the gauze.
