"Ah. I did hit a stage where I did nothing but read, though now I'll still pick up something of interest every so often", T'rad would hang off there. No need for the brownrider to know his hobby of observation and exploration. T'rad only nodded at the next comment of him not giving between much thought. However, he spoke up when K'mar's own observation was spoken. "Perhaps. We will see when that day comes", T'rad replied. Even now, something about the way K'mar said that would cause T'rad to privately question the boy. He hadn't said something along the lines of "I'm sure we'll be fine" or "We'll make it through" or something like that, but T'rad didn't really expect that either. But instead he said "Dragons are meant to go between". T'rad already had his theory and it would fit with K'mar's personality, he assumed.
Paleoth was thrilled at Volsteath's words. He liked the idea of being worthy. But, oh wait! He had to pay attention to the way he said that too. And opening himself to T'rad's previous thoughts, he would analyze even Volsteath. And perhaps he could trick his bonded into giving him a few pointers on how to think like he did so he could stay ahead of Volsteath's game. The blue nudged Volsteath's mind, letting him know his approval of the words, but hid everything else. The game was on.

“There are things that one can learn by reading and some you just have to experience,” K’mar agreed with a nod of his head. “I worked in records so had access is all.” And obsessed about learning all he could about being a dragonrider since he was quite sure that was his destiny. It turned out he was right on that count too. Even if everyone else had doubted he was now right where he always knew he would be. Right now he started to gather up the hides that he had spread out on his cot. “I can leave these on your cot when I’m done,” he offered to the other weyrling. It would be nothing to do so. He just had to pop into records and let them know who had them now. He started to add something else, but lost the words in a rumbling stomach feeling that came from outside of him. K’mar looked at Volsteath and then back to T’rad. “I think it’s about that time.”
The hungry brown had turned his attention towards his rider a moment ago. He expressed his hunger to the one who would feed him and then he looked back towards the blue he had been speaking to. It was a delight speaking to you, Paleoth. I look forward to playing the game with you.[/color] He slowly rose to his feet and took a moment to shake himself out. Tail and wings each got their own time before he stretched his neck straight out.

"Exactly", T'rad spoke, nodding in agreement. It's something T'rad would agree with strongly, for he was out there observing and watching events unfold before his very eyes. His experience was by being around a situation or event. He did read, it just wasn't his dominating hobby. It was more like something he would do on the side or something he'd do when he needed to learn more indepth about something he experienced. "Sure. That'd be a help, K'mar. It'd save me a trip, eventually", T'rad accepted and appreciated the gesture, whether the brownrider was genuinely being nice or not. Then again, T'rad wouldn't know for sure either way. He figured he would eventually end up there and K'mar's suggestion would surely save him some trouble later on down the line. T'rad nodded once again in K'mar's direction. "I'll likely be getting my fill soon", T'rad commented, not yet ready to get up and eat. Between everything that went on today, T'rad was truely tired. He would need food soon, but right now his body desired rest even more.
The same for me as well. I look forward to playing. The blue spoke in a mock sneaky tone, as if he were to imply something but really was only joking. Paleoth withdrew from Volsteath's mind and got up, walking to the side of the bed to curl up beside T'rad. The boy was rather relieved, the blue was no longer in his gloomy mood, but he wondered what attributed to it. Perhaps he was too distracted with K'mar to notice the brownrider's dragon had affected his own. Or was the idea already forming in his mind? Perhaps not.
