They could spend time together, but things were different now. There was another woman now to be considered and Genet couldn’t let it go. Couldn’t be one of those women she despised who only thought of her wants and desires. So while she kissed him with renewed eagerness she didn’t quite lead him back to the bed yet.
“We should not spend every night together,” she said gently. “We should start- preparing.” Preparing to be apart. In the back of her mind she expected him to come back next turn with a wife and possibly child. For this to have been a passing thing. While that hurt it was a hurt she had been expecting from the beginning. “So,” she says and lets a tease enter her voice as she takes his hands and starts to dance with him around the weyr.
“I think we should only see each other every other night.” Being an adult was all well and good, but not at the expense of this. Not yet. “And any days we can manage.” Ok, maybe not entirely ready at all. She felt for this other girl, but she would only get one more month with Silvio if she got the rest of his life. It should be her month by Faranth.

All too ready to dive back into the madcap passion that had driven them for the past few months, Silvio was already trying to edge things back that way when Genet spoke. He blinked at her again in surprise. "No? I-- Genet ..." he trailed off protest dying on his lips and he shook his head. "How about we play it how it goes? But I should try to pay more attention to my work. Advance that," he said thoughtfully. He didn't want to think about Avera, tiny Avera and her tiny hands. There was actually something inside of him that crawled away and hid at the thought of touching so young a girl in the way he touched Genet.
But then she was dancing him around, Genet was and that brought his smile back and her words too and he laughed, the laughter echoing off the walls of the weyr. He spun her about and buried his mouth in the side of her neck then went adventuring for other more sensitive territory.
"I love you, Genet," he murmured into her skin, then fell silent, doing his utmost to convince her that back in the bed, rumpling up the sheets was the place to be.
