"So generous, Genet," Aleda teased G'tet's twin and slid her hand down her arm, so her hands were clasping behind her back instead. "And I'd think that shoes would be kept down low, no?" she tipped a curious look over at Emeni to see if this was so in the organization of Telgar's stores.

“All of them!” Genet announces with a bright grin. “Don’t worry I hardly made a mess I promise!” Hardly, really, almost nothing. Well, she couldn’t put things back entirely properly as she got bored halfway through. As for the ladder, well, the weyrling couldn’t stop Emeni from fetching one, but she didn’t have to use it!
“Aleda!” Genet complains with a groan. “It’s not where they are. It’s where they are not. You have to pick a spot you wouldn’t dream of finding shoes. That’s where the treasures are! Tell her, G’tet!” Looking at her brother she shakes her head.
“Oh, no,” G’tet says with a wink to his sister. “I am staying out of this one. I am just here to carry your bruised and bloodied broken body to the infirmary when you get hurt.” He has such faith in his twin! Leaning against the shelves he watches Aleda and Genet while Emeni fetches the ladder.

Genet might think she didn't have to use it, but they'd see who won the battle of wills if she didn't. Emeni lucked out in finding a ladder just a few aisles down from where the others had congregated, and the sound of her dragging it back (it had wheels, but the stone floor was none too smooth) roared loudly over the conversation for the minute it took her to return with it.
"Here we are!" Emeni announced proudly as she pulled the thing up to where she'd left the other three. Thankfully the randomness of their search had not yet taken them to a new location. She looked around with a smile, gaze settling on Aleda who - last she'd heard - was picking the spot. "Now you can pick any place you want with no fear," she told the Caminar, patting the ladder fondly. "Brilliant."

Shaking her head, Aleda smiled at Emeni. "No, I think I should be heading back," she stated. "But I do wish you much luck with finding what you are looking for, Genet," the sabedoria said sincerely. "And many thanks for the ladder, Emeni. I think G'tet would be very put out if his sister fell and hurt herself." She arranged her own small bundle of things, leaned over to rest fingers lightly on G'tet's wrist for a moment, then nodded politely. "A good day to you all," and Aleda turned to make her way out of the storage caverns.
