Head shook from side to side mechanically, the goldrider still feeling the after effects of her shock in the tingling of limbs, in the way her mind seemed to have jammed to a halt. "No, no, it's fine. It doesn't bother me. I just wasn't expecting it."
She gathered sweetsand, rubbing it vigorously in her hands before transferring it into her hair, rubbing it into a foam. Head cocked, fingers circling within her hair, she eyed Ana and laughed. "Oh? Why's that?" She didn't take offense to the jab about her taste. She just laughed again before ducking under water, with a stifled gasp, emerging after hair had been washed.
"Do you like any of the boys?" It was an idle question, one that could yield several avenues of conversation. And it was good knowing, wasn't it?

Anayeli returned a cynical look at the no-it's-fine answer, surveying Salina an extra few minutes dubiously before she yielded to the goldrider's assertion. But the laughter was evidently the reaction she intended to provoke with her half-jab about Salina's taste, and her frown quickly adjusted into a smile that couldn't help looking a very small amount smug. "Well, first you've got Ez'ki, who could probably give me a run for my marks for who's the most vain about their looks." So at least she knew her ego was exceptional? "Then Z'dayi, who-- so far as I can tell-- will never amount to more than a hill-of-beans. And then J'fel, whose reputation certainly leaves something to be desired, doesn't it?"
She left off an answer about whether or not she liked any of the boys, replied with nothing more than a crinkle of her perfect nose. Then she sat finger-combing her hair to decide whether or not it needed a second washing.

Salina's shoulders lifted in a shrug, the slight smile tugging at her lips. She found it interesting that her preference for companions could be so interesting to other people. It wasn't as if she were hanging out with murderers or degenerates. "Ez'ki is a bit too feminime for his own good sometimes, I'll agree with you there." A laugh before she was continuing. "Z'dayi's Z'dayi of course and there's no disgreeing with you about J'fel."
Another small pile of sweetsand was in her palm. She lathered it about her skin, eyes thoughtful as she mused out loud to the girl who was sharing her bath. "There's no changing any of it. And they are more interesting than most around here."
She didn't appear to notice Anayeli's declining to answer her question. If she did, she just let it slide. It was important anyhow. She finished washing herself and began to rinse off, thoughts swirling about the men that the greenrider had mentioned.

"That depends on your definition of interesting, doesn't it," remarked Anayeli rhetorically. She was bathed, pruned, and now looked to evacuate and leave the entirety of the bath to Salina.
Without only a speck of self-consciousness, she checked the occupants of the room, found them largely uninteresting and uninterested, and slid from the bath to wrap herself in a great towel, tucked modestly around her middle. "You will remember what I said about H'gar, won't you? You may not have been gifted with the ruthlessness to take advantage of your new rank, but at least put it to use for your friends?"
Were they friends? Had Ana any? Either way, she smiled prettily down at the goldrider to sugar coat the request.

Salina continued to wash herself as Anayeli climbed from the bath, glad that the greenrider was leaving so that she might luxuriate in the hot water alone. That was the only reason for not regretting the girl's eminent absence. Salina, surprisingly, found she liked the vain girl. She offered new ideas and prospectives that hadn't been before.
"I will try." Head bobbed in a nod, lips lifting slightly. "I wouldn't promise anything though. He does seem to be a bit stiff-necked." Salina rinsed off more suds, content for conversation to be done at that, but also willing for it to go on.

Out of the bath, wrapped up, Anayeli let the conversation lapse with a last remark on her part: "I'm sure you could... Convince J'fel. Somehow." Said while she wiped water from her own shapely leg with an intentional implication in her expression.
In a few moments, she slipped out to primp herself for the rest of her day.
