Congratulations again to everyone on a great hatching! We'd also like to give a big hand to anhydrous for I'dalyn's foray into weyrlingmastery. Looks like it's going to be a fun class!
Lesson overviews are posted in the Weyrling Barracks area (and will be posted every two weeks). Weyrlings as well as anyone wishing to keep tabs on their progress is encouraged to read them as they're posted.
We'd also like to welcome Tempus Fugit's newest member, Rizu-Chan! Everyone make her feel welcome. :) Now's a great time for new members to bring in characters for involvement in upcoming plot arcs, so invite your friends. Maybe they'd even like to adopt a weyrling and join the weyrling class!
Lately at Tempus Fugit
With the hatching behind us, we're kicking plot into full gear! Where exactly are the folks J'fel assigned to save Pern from plague - and was that assignment where he meant to have them go in the first place? What about the missing children?!
In order to permit weyrling players plenty of time to play their new dragons while they're very young, we've had IC time on hold for a week and it's currently running 1:1. In about a RL week, we'll start time again about an IC month after the hatching. This will conveniently work well for our plot progression, too! During weyrling maturation we'll keep time moving along at a speedier clip (1:4 or 1:6) except when plot purposes require a slowdown. There's a time box in the newsbox for reference.

Weyrlings - newly adopted and existing - will want to check in on Reality of the Moment, set immediately after the hatching, and Chop, chop, where weyrlings prepare feed for their hatchlings.
And be sure to check out the Flashbacks and Vignettes boards for cool scenes offering insight into various characters and their connections to one another. Who knows - there might be plot clues in there, too!
Thread Ideas
Need an idea for starting a thread? Here's a few!
- A greenflight! Mature greens (sorry, weyrlings) may rise at any time (no staff approval needed). We've got a few maleriders approved now so there should be some folks to chase.
- Caminar conversations about what to do to defend themselves in the eyes of the Weyr and the Holds against the charges leveled against them.
- Weyrfolk of any kind coming up with schemes to 'assist' with the far-too-slow investigation the Weyr's upper ranks are supposedly conducting regarding the Caminar and the missing children.
- Anyone noticing that Aleda, P'nset, Th'ane, S'gur and G'tet have been strangely missing the last few days...
- Weyrlings are very much encouraged to create and join threads in keeping with the current overview posted in the Weyrling Barracks section. Dragons don't stay young long, so RP these developmental stages while you can! :)
Characters We'd Like To See
The 'characters currently accepted' document in the 'character profiles' section lists all the types of characters available right now, but here are some specific ideas:
- Posted crafters, including healers and harpers
- Up to two more wingleaders (see the notes in the Character Profile template)
- Assistants for our weyrlingmaster, I'dalyn (dragonriders of any color)
- A headwoman and/or a steward (with details about their work at the Weyr)
- Adopted weyrlings!
- Characters with 'missing children' in their backgrounds (siblings, neices/nephews, friends, etc.)

- Girls impressed to green dragons! We promise! ;)
