We'd like to welcome Tempus Fugit's newest members: anan, Hails, blueaid, evelit and tehsil! It's great to see so many excellent writers joining our intrepid little band. :)
As you have probably noticed, TR and OM are both in absentia at the moment, which means no character profiles will be approved until one of us returns - no later than July 24. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
Lately at Tempus Fugit
Aleda, G'tet, P'nset, S'gur and Th'ane are discovering that when J'fel said to 'prevent Moreta's plague,' he apparently really meant the plague - right there in Moreta's own time! Keep an eye on threads in the 'Other Places' board to see what the PCs make of this little surprise. Take a look at the Announcements board to learn more about the possibility of playing a character in this timeline, too!
Although time during the plot arc is proceeding at a pace defined by the RP, time in 'the present' at Telgar Weyr has been sped up for weyrling maturation. There's a time box in the newsbox for reference.

Seek and ye shall find a thread with Evelit and Genet, while Ez'ki is Looking Over the Caminar.
Who wins? Who loses? Who eats dirt?! Check out Shopping for a fight for a Caminar-dragonrider brawl! The wounded might want to stop by during the infirmary Office Hours, where a weyrling's receiving treatment.
Stop by the records room for a little reading in Reading Records, or get in a quick Midnight Snack.
Meet Erabel in Much Needed Rest, open to all - or join in the speculation with J'pin and J'rad at Passing Judgement...Again.
Change is imminent! See if you can guess how history will be 'resolved' as the plot activity in the sixth pass progresses in Interrogation and In the Kitchen.
While OM is away and the plot's moving slowly, check out the Covert Meeting Aleda called with the adventuring party prior to their departure for the Sixth Pass. Adventuring dragons can discuss the situation in Getting to know you, too.
Weyrlings will want to check out Chop, chop and Pre-dinner rest and relaxation. To make matters worse (erm) there's also a lesson in etiquette and weyr structure going on in Politics is being taught by WHO? Also be sure to check out the weyrling information posted in the barracks for thread ideas!
Thread Ideas
Need an idea for starting a thread? Here's a few!
- A greenflight! Mature greens (sorry, weyrlings) may rise at any time (no staff approval needed). We've got quite a few maleriders so there should be some dragons to give chase.
- Caminar conversations about what to do to defend themselves in the eyes of the Weyr and the Holds against the charges leveled against them.
- Weyrfolk of any kind coming up with schemes to 'assist' with the far-too-slow investigation the Weyr's upper ranks are supposedly conducting regarding the Caminar and the missing children.
- Anyone noticing that Aleda, P'nset, Th'ane, S'gur and G'tet have been strangely missing...
- Weyrlings are very much encouraged to create and join threads in keeping with the current overview posted in the Weyrling Barracks section. Remember weyrlings must be active to graduate.
Characters We'd Like To See
The 'characters currently accepted' document in the 'character profiles' section lists the types of characters available right now, but here are some specific ideas:
- Posted crafters, including healers and harpers
- Up to two more wingleaders (see the notes in the Character Profile template)
- A headwoman and/or a steward (with details about their work at the Weyr)
- Adopted weyrlings!
- Characters with 'missing children' in their backgrounds (siblings, neices/nephews, friends, etc.)
And if you're lamenting not being here in time to be involved in the plot setting there's even a character available for adoption in that timeline: the Igenite brownrider M'sella. If you're interested, check out the Adoptable NPC area for the information you'll need to write his profile! We're also accepting a few other PCs from Igen Sea Hold in the sixth pass - PM OM if you have an idea (I'll get back to you after the 24th when I'm back from vacation).
