Name: D'nor
Gender: Male
Age: 39 (again!)
Rank: Bluerider
Dragon: Lesmajath
Wing: Frost
Physical Description
The interval's been hard on D'nor, probably because of his dragon, and his appearance is as worn as his personality. Lined and pocked by sun and wind, he's no longer pretty-faced; still, when he smiles and shows perfect teeth, the fact that he was once handsome is fairly apparent. He stands a few inches under six feet tall and has no gray in his hair, lending some credibility to the false age he good-naturedly claims.
Background
Experienced, capable, and slow to rush into things, D'nor has not yet decided whether his loyalty lies with the old weyrleader S'lyn or the new J'fel. He loathes the presence of the Caminar in the Weyr - but as there's no evidence proving their guilt where the missing children are concerned, he would defend them wholeheartedly against their accusers. Above all, D'nor is a rider's rider, slow to take sides and unwilling to make decisions on any but the most pragmatic of reasonings; politics have no place for him, and he makes no place for politics.
Lesmajath is, at best, a burden; at worst he's a danger to his rider and his wing. The practical has no place in the heart of a dragon so wicked, so selfish. He thinks of himself first, his D'nor second and of everyone else not at all; his well-bred obedience to wingleader and queen comes always with a trace of bitter disapproval. Ever malcontent to have been born blue and not bronze, Lesmajath nevertheless blames his rider for their failure to achieve greatness among the wings and in the games. His hunger for success is matched only by his desire for selfish pleasures; these wants undermine each other and leave the beast ever unsatisfied. Even so, he has uncommon success with the flights of greens - some of them find his arrogance and cruelty appealing - and D'nor and 'Les' are never more suited to one another than when they're looking forward to the twinings of tails and bodies that prove them adept at one thing, at least.
