Physical Description
J'pin
J'pin's physique is neither bulky nor lacking any sort of musculature, but rather a nice balance of both. Like every other rider he is fit and strong, though his physic is rather artistic, in a way, and appealing to the ladies. The skin, though a rosy color by nature, is often tanned bu Rukbat, and his brown hair has acquired lighter shades here and there -- courtesy of the sun as well. With a rather finely sculpted face and plump, rosy lips, J'pin often gets what he wants from the females. His most striking, and alluring, trait are his eyes. Colored with an icy blue shade, the are the type that lure, charm and woe most young females.
J'pin stands at a height of 6'2, with a weight of around 165 lbs. He's often found dressed with trousers and wherhide boots -- though shirts are more often than not missing. In the course of his younger years he managed to pierce his ears while in the Blacksmith Hall, and now sports two metal rings on his right ear, along with two small and round earrings on his left, along with another hoop -- a carved opal stone dangling from it.
Personality
The charming bad boy that most girls are thought of, and told not to go near them. This stereotype would fit J'pin to an extent. He can be very suave and flirtatious, turning on his charm on the women [and once or twice on feminine men] when he desires something. Though he is straight, life of a dragonrider and flights have made him indifferent to whom he finds lying besides him on a few mornings. Be it male or female, whoever his bond choses is ok with him -- none stay in his weyr for more than a fortnight after all. J'pin just didn't found much pleasure in the responsibilities attached to having a weyrmate, so he prefers to just have his fill of fun and then be on his merry way. Mahoruth, luckily for him, had stopped fussing about it -- and the brown himself had yet to find a dragon he is willing to settle down with. Most greens are so picky and flirtatious, rarely do they pick a mate.
J'pin doesn't complain, for though his dragon does win a few of his flights, there is always an easy girl on the lower caverns to woe -- a nice substitute, as well as a good excuse, for the times his Mahoruth fails to catch a green. However, for all the casanova he may be, J'pin is quite protective and watchful of his sister.
Background
What his mother ever found appealing in the much older male rider no one will ever know, but the lower cavern woman had always been smitten with the bluerider. Quarrels often rose between them, more often than not after flights whom his blue Peruth won. Still, even through out all of this, the woman bore her first child, a son, at the age of nineteen -- fathered by the forty turn old rider. Jipin was born into a life of the Weyr, knowing dragons and chores since young and being schooled by his mother. His parents often drifted, together for a few turns and apart a few more. It was through these drifts, seven turns later, that his sister Erabel was born. Rather quick-minded and smart, Jipin was a fast learner -- soon making him a favorite among the lower cavern women -- and envied by some of the males of his age. Still, though he got in many fights and quarrels, the boy had a charm to himself -- one that usually saved his behind from a scolding. One that worked on everyone, save his mother.
After his first failed impression the boy was shipped off to learn a craft, one he had chosen. He had desired to become a Blacksmith, though upon receiving his Journeyman status the male promptly returned back home. His excuse had been that he loved Telgar Weyr too much, though in reality the boy had never forgotten after that first dream of his. The one thing he had always desired since small. Jipin wanted to be a dragonrider and, though metals and crafts were appealing, his desire for the skies was greater. Jipin, though, had grown, and now his age was reaching the limit of candidacy.
At the age of twenty-one his father passed away, the sixty-one turn old man having fallen down a flight of stairs and broken his neck. Though he was weeped and mourned by his mother, Jipin soon recovered from the loss. A turn later he had impressed a brown by the name of Mahoruth. Weyrlinghood was turbulent at first, though soon calmed down into a pleasant drift. It was during this time that J'pin corrected his rash and reckless side of his personality -- noticing how greatly distressed his usually calm brown would become whenever Jipin attempted something foolish. It was Mahoruth's logic and reasoning that often saved him from a rather bad accident, or injuries to him or his dragon. Three turns later and he became a full-fledge rider. However, something has "invaded" Telgar Weyr -- their home -- and J'pin is anything but pleased by the company of the Caminar. Even when his Mahoruth has told him time and time again not to be so judging from first glances, well call him old-school, but J'pin cannot digest the idea of sharing the weyr he loves with a bunch of filthy travelers. Often this is a cause of dispute between him and Erabel, his younger sibling, due to the fact that she does support the option of letting the Caminar stay.
Dragon: Brown Mahoruth
Age: Three Turns
Size: 20 ft
Color Code: 993300
Physical Description
Though browns are often the in-between balance between large and small, Mahoruth manages to stand at one of the ends of this scale: the smaller side, to be precise. Nearing more the size of a rather large blue than a brown, it is no surprise that the physic of this dragon is more similar to those of his blue brothers. Still, Mahoruth does possess stamina, showed from his slightly more bulky hide than the light and agile appearances of blues. In short, though Mahoruth is flexible, maybe a bit more than the bigger browns, he will never match a blue's or green's agility -- just as they'll never match a brown's stamina.
He possesses longer than usual neck, tail and limbs -- along with a wingspan deemed more for a twenty-two feet long dragon. It is this "serpentine" look, as his mine fondly refers to it, that gives the brown the illusion to be slim -- effectively hiding his bulky physic. Mahoruth's hide has a rather unusual choice of color -- the brown shades tinted with reddish hues that give the male a brownish version of mahogany. The color darkens to a dark brown around his snout, feet, wing and tail tips. The wing membrane is of a lighter chocolate coloration, matching that of his claws.
Personality
Content to lie in the sun for the most part, Mahoruth isn't one to trouble his mind over small problems. Why lose your head every five seconds? It is due to this attitude that the dragon manages to keep a calm and cool temper when struck by some sort of situation -- and more often than not he can arrive at a safe conclusion. It takes a lot to truly stress this brown -- except when it has to do with his rider. If he is in danger, Mahoruth will more often than not panic -- instead of keeping his calm demeanor.
A good listener, and one not to immediately take sides, Mahoruth would be a good judge -- had he been a human on Earth. Rider and dragon often have their own discussions and debates, in which Mahoruth is almost always the winner. Just as he is a good listener he is a good "soldier", this brown will never go against the order of his queen -- unless it would mean placing his rider or himself in danger. Towards bronzes he is respectful, and follows the orders of his wingleader -- though Mahoruth may be reluctant to obey if he founds logic missing from the orders. An example: "Mahoruth, jump of a cliff," order would be ignored and even debated. "Mahoruth, jump of the cliff to avoid a clump of thread," or something similar has a more higher chance of being listened to and followed.
The brown -- though he would never openly admit it to anyone, not even his -- holds a favoritism for the shiny, golden hide of the queens. Taboo or not, Mahoruth is determined to fly a queen oner day -- and he hoped the young queen of the latest hatching would be appealing enough to him. If he found her pleasant to be with, and appealing, he would fly her. If not... Well, there were always greens. This is his, sort of, dirty little secret. A secret not even J'pin is aware of.
Mind Voice
Mahoruth's mind voice is a mixture between soft and hard, the perfect blend of calm and power. While his tones may be as smooth as silk, there's no doubt they are underlined strictly with determination and strenght. This is one dragon who's voice will not go unheard. Some would even compared to that of wise elders, tough Mahoruth rejects the idea -- saying he still has much to learn before he may be compared to these wise men.
