The Weyrs:
Telgar
~ A daring adventure to create more Candidates sends a group of children and riders back in time.
~ Large clutches are being used to convince the rest of Pern that Thread may still be a threat
~ The Weyrwoman continues on her unwavering quest to create less women riders in order to increase the population of not only Telgar Weyr but the rest of Pern.

Igen
~ The Traditionalist Weyr, having suffered many losses in the recent epidemics has only just begun to recover.
~Junior Queen Saharth is currently on the sands with an impressive number of fifteen eggs including one Gold.
~ Senior Queen Lyranth is due to rise any day… the question becomes, will A’stin retain his position as Weyrleader knowing the Weyrwoman’s moods and her distrust of people. Many doubt he will win her a third time.

Healer Hall
~ Recently opened though the gossip has already begun to flame…
~ Will Master Narwina have a difficult time with the other Masters because she is a woman?
~ Can Master Gidian find an answer to the riddle of what caused the rapidity of the spread of the last two illnesses. (And he is really hoping for a beautiful young assistant… hahahaha)

As for the Holds
~ A Gather is to be Held at Telgar (no date is yet settled on)
~ The end of Turn Conclave will be held at the end of April. (Note the missing children will be brought up, as will the continued reliance of dragonkind on the working Holders. Has the time for dragons long since passed, or will they be needed again?)

What we WANT!
~ Anyone and everyone who wants to have a good time and play out their own mini plots. (And doesn’t mind getting involved in board wide plots either)
~We love fresh ideas but we are cannon so we ask that people keep in mind that if it isn’t in the books, it probably doesn’t exist on our Pern.
~MORE MORE MORE… characters!. Many ranks and positions are available. As a rather close knit Weyr, we do like to have characters related to characters. So you may want to look into adopting someone’s brother or sister, maybe a cousin, niece, mother, father…even grandparent.
~People who like to play out angst, drama and heartbreak. Torturing your own character is not against the rules… *evil cackle!*

When the Spacefarers settled on Pern They had no idea that they would be facing a new and deadly enemy. Thread, an alien spoor visited upon the planet in hundred year Intervals nearly devastated the entire population of the colony. They genetically engineered a race of flying fire breathing creatures from the native Fire lizards to combat this devastating threat. And thus the Dragons of Pern were born, impressed at birth to a rider they became part of the life long struggle against the alien menace.

Hundreds of years have passed and the story of their ancestry and that of the magnificent creatures that fly against the alien threat have been reduced to myth. The colonists have settled into a feudal society balanced between Hall, Hold and Weyr. There has been no thread now for over four hundred years and many feel the Weyr’s and their dragonriders are of no value any longer. But Change is on the horizon, and the Red Star is more than just a story.
