Dragon Kin

In the beginning there were the Dragons. A race of beings whose life blood powered the very spirit of nature. So in tune with nature these begins helped create and shape the human world of Arcadia. They helped the humans learn and at one time held great respect from the humans and their world. Worshipped as gods and as prophets the dragons forgot about what evolution could do to the human mind. As they let the humans grow they soon discovered their mistake in allowing free rule.

But as time moved on, the people changed. They began to fear the magic the Dragons wielded with such ease and some wished this power for themselves. It was not long before the first human killed the great Green Dragon of the hills. His blood was taken as a symbol of the humans power of the beast and of magic. The knight who slew the Green Dragon found when he ingested the blood that he was filled with the magic of the beast. He kept his new discovery hidden from the human world only allowing a selected few to know the truth of Dragon blood.

The mages were created from this man as he found men and women like himself who wished the powers of the gods and of the earth. Soon the humans and mages became different races of people. Yet both driven by the urge to kill the Dragons for different reasons. Little do the humans and mages realise how important the dragons are to the Balance of the world.

The dragons finding themselves hunted by two races of people soon decided to take on human form. They hide their dragon bodies in the bodies of humans and hide among them in the hopes to keep their secrets safe. But even this is not fool proof. Many are still caught and killed either by mages for their blood or by the humans for their ignorance of something different.

The mages have now started to look upon the humans with disgust and hate. They believe they should rule the human race. And their new king twin brother to the human king has set his eyes on the human throne to rule. Science and technology is starting to take over the world of Arcadia and with science comes the death of magic.

But a child has been born. A Dragon Kin girl, the Golden Dragon. She is prophesied to bring peace to Arcadia. She will be the beacon of light which leads the humans and Dragon Kin in peace. But she is hunted by the mages more so now then ever for they believe her blood can bring them power over the universe and over all magic.

But she is hidden, swapped with the human kings own daughter it is hoped when he finds out she is Dragon Kin that he will see the Kin in new light. Or maybe it will throw him into a rage, which is yet to be discovered.

The Princess of the Kin is still young and has not developed her powers yet, but soon she will start to manifest, then the real fun starts.
