Name: R'thos
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Rank: Bluerider
Dragon: Loyoth
Wing: Hail
Physical Description
R'thos is a handsome man, god help him, and he knows it. The naturally close set of his trim eyebrows and dark eyes gives him a moody, serious look, but his mouth is mobile and frequently hitched up in a lopsided smirk that betrays a more insouciant nature. The locks of his brown hair look soft and tempting to touch - at least for R'thos, who seems to be dragging his hands through them constantly. A tall man, easily spotted in a crowd, he holds himself with the distinctive puff of someone who enjoys being looked at.
Background
When your mother's a prostitute, it doesn't really matter who your father is. In fact, it doesn't even matter who your mother is: all the girls fawn over you as though you were their own. Such was R'thos's experience growing up in a divey casino in Telgar, where he spent the first twelve turns of his life.
But the same clutch that established Aderes as senior Weyrwoman called out to young R'thos, who wound up being searched by a casino regular and Impressing blue Loyoth in turn 85. If he was smaller than the most of his weyrling class, R'thos didn't notice or care: after twelve turns of being doted on by whores, the lad had enough self confidence to power a steamboat.
Nor, given the circumstances he grew up in, did R'thos have any shame about his sexual attractions: male or female, he liked everyone. Like most teenagers, he started out chasing anything that crossed his path - the rejection rate was high, so naturally he had to cast his net wide to find the willing fish - but with age and maturity came good looks, and before he knew it other people were chasing after him. That was probably where his rampant ego transformed itself into easy self-assurance, and thankfully so, because his wingmates had started to find his other attitude tiresome.
So it goes for R'thos, who tries to avoid the occasional dust-ups at the Weyr (not because he doesn't have strong opinions, but because he thinks such talk only leads to fighting) and has done an admirable job so far of comitting to no opinion whatsoever on the Caminar or the new Weyrleader - other than he finds both very attractive.
