A couple days before turn's end H'gar gathers the weyrlings together to go over what they can and cannot do.
Alcohol: A little drinking is ok. Any weyrling who has more than three or four drinks will be asking for trouble.
Sex: Not in the barracks. Not in public. If your dragon gets upset you'll wish you'd kept your pants on.
Curfew: H'gar has extended the curfew to one hour after midnight. By one hour after midnight all weyrlings are expected to be in their cots.
If the promise of punishment is not enough it should be noted that all weyrlings will be woken up at 6am for laps.
In the two days between the talk and turn's end any weyrling who acts up will have their curfew shortened. An npc or two will wind up spending the whole night in the barracks watched over by one of the npc weyrlingstaff.
There is much grumbling about this from H'gar. He clearly has second thoughts about giving this freedom even as he does. The weyrlingmaster still does this, but he makes it clear too much breaking of his lax rules will result in some serious crackdowns.
